Terms of Service
These are the terms for using remotehiresafrica.com. Using the site means you accept them.
The site is operated by Muhammed Lukman, an individual based in Abuja, Nigeria. "I" and "me" below mean that person; "you" means anyone using the site.
What this site is
RemoteHires Africa is a hand-curated list of remote jobs from companies around the world, each labelled with whether applicants based in Africa are eligible. It also sells CV review and rewriting services, and offers an AI-assisted CV builder.
I am not an employer, a recruiter or a hiring agency. I do not hire anyone, I have no say in who gets hired, and I have no relationship with most of the companies listed beyond reading their job posts. Every application you make is between you and that company.
What I promise about the listings
I check each role by hand before it goes up, and I label eligibility as accurately as I can from what the employer published. But:
- Roles get filled, pulled or edited without telling me. A listing may be out of date by the time you reach it.
- Pay ranges, time-zone requirements and eligibility are taken from the employer's own posting. If they wrote it wrong, I will have repeated it.
- "Eligibility unconfirmed" means exactly that — I could not verify it, not that it is open or closed.
- I cannot vet whether every company is a good employer. Do your own checks before sharing personal documents or starting work.
If you spot a listing that is wrong, closed or looks like a scam, email me and I will fix or remove it quickly.
Never pay to apply
No legitimate employer charges you to apply, to interview, for "training materials", or for equipment you must buy up front. If a company reached through this board asks you for money, do not pay, and tell me so I can pull the listing.
Referral and affiliate links
Some listings and tools are referral links, labelled as such on the card. I may earn a commission if you sign up through one. It costs you nothing and it does not change what I say about a role. Where a link is paid, the label says so.
Your account
- Accounts are free. One person, one account.
- Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
- Do not scrape the board, resell the listings, or use automated tools against the site.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, or anyone else's personal documents.
- I may suspend an account that breaks these rules. You can close your account whenever you like by emailing me.
The CV desk
AI CV builder
The builder writes a CV from what you tell it. It works from your own material and does not invent employers, qualifications or dates. Read every line before you send it anywhere. You are responsible for the accuracy of your own CV, and lying on one can cost you the job and more.
Free accounts get a limited number of AI-generated CVs. Beyond that it is paid. The current allowance is shown in your dashboard, and I may change it.
Paid services
- Prices are shown in US dollars; the naira figure is a guide and moves with the rate.
- Work starts when payment clears. Turnaround times are from that point and assume you answer my questions.
- Revisions are as listed in the tier you bought.
- Refunds: full refund if you cancel before I start. Once delivered, if the work does not match what was described, tell me within 14 days and I will redo it or refund you. I do not refund because an application was unsuccessful.
No job is guaranteed, by me or by anyone. I can make your CV pass automated screening and read well to a human. I cannot make a company hire you, and anyone promising you a job in exchange for money is selling you something that does not exist.
Your content
Your CV and everything you write stays yours. You give me permission to store and process it only so far as running the service needs. I do not publish it, sell it or show it to anyone else.
My content
The writing, design and structure of this site are mine. Use it for your own job hunt freely; do not republish it as your own or build a competing board out of it.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. I will keep it accurate and online, but I cannot promise it is error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, from a listing being wrong or removed, from a hiring decision, or from anything that happens between you and an employer. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid me in the previous 12 months.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top changes when I do, and account holders get an email before anything significant takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under your own country's law.
